Latin American animation bursts increasingly upon the world scene. From Animation! we want to foster this trend, giving visibility to the professionals from the region, offering tools and spreading local talent into new markets.
With this objective, during five days the participants coming to Buenos Aires from all over the world have found in the event schedule a wide variety of activities aimed at the animation industry.
Animation! Pitching Sessions: In special alliance with the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and market (MIFA), Latin American feature films and TV series projects (in development or pre-production stage) were selected. The project delegates took part in diverse trainings and they had the chance to do their pitch in front of a market audience. Four winning projects, chosen among the finalists by a jury composed of international experts, made their pitch in a special Animation! programme at MIFA 2020.
Training Sessions: A series of workshops and special activities by international guests aimed to foster professionals from the region. This edition focused on access to markets, co-production and distribution.
Special Presentations: Animation experts and professionals from the United States, Europe and Latin America joined us to provide a regional and international outlook on animation and to reflect on some topics of interest to the industry.
Animation! Wips: An exclusive selection of Latin American animated films in progress curated by the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market (MIFA).
Networking Activities: One-to-one meetings, encounters with festival and market representatives, happy hour, and much more.
Accreditation and official selection for 4 projects (2 TV Series and 2 Feature Films) to take part in an Animation! special section at MIFA 2020.
